Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary

Our school was named after President Theodore Roosevelt. Built in 1923, the building is recognized for its distinctive Spanish Colonial Revival Style. Roosevelt Elementary is one of the few historic school buildings in the city that represents the history of elementary education in LaCrosse. Further, it is a place that historically has been an important center of the neighborhood's education and social life for over 80 years. Generations of northside families have memories represented by this building, including Congressman Ron Kind.
