Summer Activities
The Successful Transitions Summer School Program will meet at Central High School. The first day of summer school is MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2009 and the last day is FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2009. School begins at 7:30am and ends at 12:30pm.
Summer band lesson information can be found on Mr. Schreader's website or Mrs. Gibbons' website.
Free activities for middle school students are available at the La Crosse Public Libraries. Visit www.lacrosselibrary.org to check out the programs offered.

Under Construction:Staff & Community Updates
&Please visit the Longfellow web site often for updates on the construction process.
Longfellow/SOTA II will have a brand new HVAC system installed over the summer. Work has already begun on taking out the old boilers & pipes so expect a lot of chaos in the summer months.
Starting on Friday, June 12 @ 8pm Longfellow/SOTA II Middle School will be CLOSED due to the construction. Summer activities have been moved to other locations. The work will not be done until the end of August.
Students, staff parents can expect the new system to be installed over the summer but the final touches will not be complete until October/November. Students should be prepared for warm temperatures throughout the building as the air conditioning will not be working when they return. The construction & lack of air conditioning at the beginning of the year will be worth it. The building will be more energy efficient.
