Opera for the Young
Opera for the Young visited State Road Elementary on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. This year's opera was Rusalka; A Mermaid's Tail. The children immediately recognized the story as that of The Little Mermaid. However, Anton Dvorak composed this opera long before the inception of The Little Mermaid.
Each year, 16 students are invited to participate as part of the on-stage chorus. We are very greatful to the generosity of our PTO and the Fine Arts Department for funding this wonderful opportunity for our students.
